How many blog posts do I have left?
Part of Beginner writer growth log Collection
Documenting my journey from zero to writer, including building a blog, managing social media, finding my voice, and all the struggles and growth along the way.
Let’s say I have 10 years of blogging left.
Think that’s too short? Ten years is already generous. Life happens. Accidents happen. New technology might make blogging obsolete. I might simply stop. So let’s not think further than that.
Ten years of blogging. Here’s the math.
Daily: 3,650 posts.
Three times a week: 1,560 posts.
Twice a week: 1,040 posts.
Weekly: 520 posts.
Hundreds, even thousands of posts might sound like a lot. But compared to everything I’ve actually thought about, it’s almost nothing.
Ideas have expiration dates. And they come in a sequence.
An idea you write down unlocks the next one.
An idea you don’t write down blocks the next one.
Time doesn’t wait. Skipping one post doesn’t just mean one fewer post. It means an entire chain of ideas that never get a chance to exist.
My time is finite. Every post is a countdown.
